FORTRESS ANNOUNCES JULIET OKAFOR AS NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL SECURITY SOLUTIONS
Okafor to Drive New Vulnerability Management Module
Sales and Marketing Initiatives for Fortune 500 Enterprises Worldwide
ORLANDO, FL – February 12, 2018 Fortress Information Security (FIS) announced today it named Juliet Okafor as its new Senior Vice President of Global Security Solutions as of October 2017. In this role, Okafor will drive the sales and marketing initiatives around the company’s Emerging Security Risk Management (ESRM) platform’s new vulnerability management module and ensure customer success and security programs aligns with business outcomes. She reports to Peter Kassabov, chairman and co-founder of Fortress Information Security.
Okafor was the first employee hired at Fortress Information Security and has seen the company grow to now more than 60 employees globally. Okafor has helped Fortress Information Security build security operations programs for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organizations, seeking to operationalize GDPR compliance and mitigate emerging risks across IT, OT, physical security and third party risk management.
In addition to her work with Fortress Information Security, Okafor sits on the Strategic Advisory Board for the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP).
Previously, Okafor served as Vice President of Global Business Development for Fortress Information Security, where she helped security stakeholders identify, assess and develop the maturity of their enterprise security program. Prior to joining Fortress Information Security, Okafor served as Head of Customer Development and Strategy at CyberSuite Solutions, LLC and Global Director of Business Development & Marketing at TruShield Security Solutions.
Okafor received her Juris Doctorate from Temple University – Beasley School of Law, an M.A. in Public Communication and Media Studies from Fordham University and a B.A. in Communication from UMass-Amherst.
