FORTRESS INFORMATION SECURITY DIRECTOR OF THIRD-PARTY RISK TO SPEAK AT 10TH ANNUAL SHARED ASSESSMENTS SUMMIT
PANEL TO DISCUSS THE CHALLENGES THAT TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS CLOUD, IOT, BLOCKCHAIN, MOBILE AND PAYMENTS BRING TO RISK MANAGEMENT
ORLANDO, FL – June 26, 2017 – Fortress Information Security today announced that its Director of Third-Party Risk, Steve Earley, will speak at the 10th Annual Shared Assessments Summit, taking place June 28-29, 2017 at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia.
The Shared Assessments Annual Summit brings together the leading experts in risk management to identify the latest trends and to share best practices and insights about effective third-party risk management strategies. Now in its 10th year, the Shared Assessments Annual Summit is the premier global, cross-industry event to reveal new processes, technologies, competencies and efficiencies in third-party risk management.
On Wednesday, June 28 at 11:00 am ET, Earley will speak on a panel discussing the challenges that technologies such as cloud, IOT, blockchain, mobile and payments bring to the risk management arena. Earley will be joined by fellow panelists Niall Browne, CISO at Domo, Inc., Martin Freeman, Information Security Manager at Dealogic and James Gellert, Chairman and CEO at Rapid Ratings. The panel will be moderated by Jake Olcott, Vice President Business Development at Bitsight Technologies.
“There have been a number of high-profile cyber attacks over the past few years that expose the lack of visibility into emerging cyber risks and threats facing our critical infrastructure, especially from vendors and business partners. Many companies need help moving beyond risk scores to meaningful risk insights that ensure their assets, data and customer data are truly secure,” said Earley. “I am thrilled to be participating on this panel and look forward to the unique perspectives that each panelist will bring.”
As Director of Third-Party Risk, Earley oversees third-party cyber risk operations for Fortune 1000 customers. He also leads Fortress’ Columbus, OH office. His 25 years in the information technology field includes over 13 years of IT audit, third-party risk and cybersecurity expertise, including eight years in financial services and four years in the insurance industry, as well as significant technical leadership experience across multiple business sectors including defense, healthcare, government and high technology.”
Fortress Information Security announced last month that it had expanded its analytics database of its Risk Identification, Monitoring & Management (RIMM) Platform to include continuous cyber security monitoring of more than 2 million businesses. The RIMM Platform is the central element of Fortress’ Third-Party Risk Management Service, providing continuous, non-intrusive monitoring of third parties for potential cyber security threats.
